A shot of Thrifty Car Rental's PC, demonstrated by Miaka no Baka, as Yuna from Final Fantasy X. YES, we were all in costume when we went down to drop off the car, and we were not afraid. | And, of course, “My MONTAGE!!” - Times two, even... Two white Mitsubishi Montero Sports, for your viewing pleasure. If you saw my blog recently, you know I HAD to take this pic. I could have traded up to an SUV instead of a full-size car (And paid more accordingly, of course), but we'll never know. Still, it's nice to wonder... |
Yes, folks, it's me, on the other side of the lens. Aoshi took this pic. If you didn't know, I was Naoh Tanaka from Otaku No Video (1982 and 1985), the otaku who inspired his classmate, Ken Kubo, to become Otaking. This was my very first cosplay at a con, having debuted this costume the previous weekend in San Francisco with some of the bay area cosplayers at that gathering. Now, stop staring, and buy my goddamn fanzine, will you? I'll even throw in a set of Zambot 3 blueprints as a bonus. | Aoshi_Shinomori as Aoshi Shinomori, a somewhat different take on Kenshin Himura, and Cosplay.com's own Eurobeat King as Hajime Saito. Eurobeat King took quite a lot more pictures than I did. They should be up on Cosplay.com by now. |
A shot of the at-con registration line, which varied length throughout the weekend. I've heard they broke the 3000 attendee mark this year. | One of at least four of five Alucards from Hellsing this weekend. (Including one female Alucard, I hear.) Most of the costumes were pretty good. One of the staffers who cosplayed Alucard had a really great, possibly custom-made coat, couldn't quite figure out the material for it, though. |

Trust me, these guys have been at this with a lot more style than I have, and my nonexistent hat goes off to all of them for their dedication!
Note: Be careful, folks - Last I heard, Fan's View got knocked off the net temporarily by the demand... Pace yourselves, please!
