The Next Evolution: Cosplayer
2003 - This marked the 18th year of otakunization for me, having declared myself an “Otaku Ambassador,” and having spent the last couple years refining my focus on the key aspects of fandom, and why I got into anime fandom in the first place. Network R3 moved into the big time with the acquisition of paid hosting service in February 2003, marking the actual launch of my personal web site/portal/production nexus, hereafter located at www.raider3.com.
2003 also marked a busier year for me, more so than in previous years, with more events attended, in what I like to call the Network R3 Con Season Tour:
2003 Events:
Apr. 4-6: Sakura-Con - Seattle, WA
2004 Events:
So Now, Then:
Year 20 of my otakunization, and I'm riding the crest of the third decade. I'm currently tracking up to 15 separate events for 2005 alone. If I keep up this pace, I'd better expand this site out to where I can rank getting press credentials, or shoot for a higher-paying job, or make my own inroads... Anything is possible.
2005 has me becoming more involved with cosplay, and with greater plans to take more pictures, actually get some video out, now that I can edit and spew stuff to DVD as well as VHS, and as always, make more costumes, attend more events, and actually maintain the illusion that I have some sort of a life outside of sitting in front of the computer. ^_^; Who knows where the road will take me next? What con is it this time? Con Season is upon us, with no off-season this time. Are You Ready For The Power Of Communication? [-- page 1 : page 2 : page 3 : page 4 : page 5 : page 6 --]
