San Francisco - City of art, city of culture, city of entertainment, city... of cosplayers, gearing up for the beginning of the 2003 Con Season!

What better place to a cosplayer to publicly debut than one of Northern California's prized jewels, the beloved City by the Bay?

Well, that's what happened with Raider3, as a fun time was had by all who attended, on a beautiful, sunny March afternoon at the Palace of Fine Arts/Exploratorium. The picturesque location also provided the ideal proving grounds for Network R3's newly acquired digital photography gear, allowing to work out any problems that cropped up, while getting prime costume pictures in the process.

This impromptu cosplayer gathering took place on Sun., Mar. 30, 2003

Among the first arrivals were LionBoogy, a.k.a. Lionel, photographer and maintainer of usagichan.com, as well as Moo and Eurobeat King, the first of the cosplay.com folks. Warmup sessions were already underway when Network R3's mobile unit arrived on scene.
Moo's costume comes from the anime series Azumanga Daioh. Her character has dreams of becoming a veternarian, since she likes cats, but it seems cats don't like her.

Moo, the cat, and Eurobeat King. It's all about the shades...
