Raider3 is my current IRC nick, having evolved from my BBS handle (Red Raider 3), back in my pre-net days... The inspiration for my nick comes from my car, of all places.(The fourth in a series of vehicles I have had so far, the “Raider 3-alpha”) It is also an inspiration for a anime/manga/fanzine character I'm in the process of creating (Been spending the last 13 years or so developing the concept - I'm not much of a writer, so I'm basing it off of my ideal vision of myself. ^_^)

Currently, I maintain a net presence on the #anime! IRC channels on EFnet and Anime.Net, where I have had the opportunity to meet and make many new friends, most of them involved with Anime Expo, as staff, crew, or volunteers. I am thankful that they have warmly welcomed me into the close circle of #anime! regulars, and I hope I can be as much as a friend to them as they have been to me so far...

I've been on the net since October '95 (when I got my 486 computer rebuilt! ^_^), so I still consider myself kind of a beginner (I abhor the term newbie, and I especially can't stand newbies who go out of their way to annoy folks on IRC and the like - However, I am willing to help those who sincerely wish to become less of a newbie) Be warned -- I am a force to be reckoned with when particularly annoying folks piss me off on IRC - I have a slightly higher threshold of tolerance that most folks on #anime!, but I will kick obnoxious people without hesitation, if my buttons are pushed enough.

Some folks in the #anime! circle have been fortunate enough to meet me in person. (I've attended at least one anime convention a year since 1995) I completed my fifth year of working Con Ops at Anime Central. I am coming back for a sixth year, and I also plan to attend Sakura-Con, Fanime Con, Recca Con, and Ani-Magic in 2003. Consider yourself warned.

I'm prone to taking road trips to the Bay Area and such, since I go up there on a regular basis at least once a month. Other trips have taken me to Sacramento, and various other points. I'd say I've driven through about half the state at one time or another.

I can be found on #anime! IRC on EFnet and/or Anime.Net on occasion, when I'm not sucked into playing Final Fantasy XI Online, (from about 10:00 pm to 5:00 am Pacific time - or GMT -08:00 for world folks), the occasional Usenet posting, and, of course, my presence on the web here. I've got lots of plans for this site, and I hope to see you back here again soon! Again, thanks for stopping in.
